I am actually enjoy in the noncompetitive style of play in factional warfare. It meant that I can focus on what needs to be done to win the match, not what I need to do to get number one on the scoreboard, so I can get payed.
I play for Gallente though, so I don't have any complaints about not getting payed. I feel your pain though, but what you have described does not appeal to me as a desirable solution.

I agree, but the fact is the organised Amarr FW groups as rare as they are.....are trying very hard to win, however the disproportionate number of blue dots in a small FW community are undermining the efforts of the skilled players dissolving the number of skilled playevers across a number of different fronts. You know as well as I do the Amarr aren't a popular faction...however I see that we have a lot of very skilled players.....unlike the Gallente who are popular and have a larger pool of veteran players to drawn from and probably a very moderate ratio of skilled FWer to blue berries. The Amarr are 3:1 in favour of blue dot idiots.
Again, I feel your pain, however, I do not agree with your solution. This would utterly ruin FW in my opinion. There are always multiple solution to every problem; I do not see the solution you are proposing to be in the spirit of what I think would make FW a more interesting and overal rewarding experience. I am not really motivated to think of another solution, since I am not experiencing your troubles, but I think that if you put your mind to it you could come up with something acceptable. Good luck.

Oh I don't this Kador agrees with the idea of merit based LP gains, he simply means there need to be other ways to accrue LP besides direct combat.
...say what?
